CONSTRUCTION OF FURNITURE
Made of:
* APPALACHIAN TULIP POPLAR, and other indigenous species of Southern China. It has been kiln dried to around 8% moisture content.
* Water proof Luan Plywood.
* Medium Density Fiberboard. Frames are double doweled, glued and corner blocked, giving maximum stability and durability. Surface is finished with catalyzed Lacquer, impervious to soil, stains and alcohol.

CONSTRUCTION OF FOLDING SCREEN PANEL

Hollow-core construction, panels are made with laminates of Luan Plywood on both faces on solid pine frame. Finished thickness of the screen panel ranges from 20mm to 25mm varied according to the overall height of the individual set of screen.

SURFACE FINISH:

(FL) FAUX LEATHER FINISH:
It is a kind of special finish innovated by this company . The treated surface has a luster of aged appearance of crackle old leather. It would receive some fifteen coats of sealant, base coat, paint, lacquer, antique varnish, hand polishing and waxing before the product is boxed for export.

(GS) GESSO FINISH:
It is a brand new innovation of surface finishing for the kind of Euro-style furniture we manufacture, layers of build up of shellac are coated, baked and treated to crack naturally, giving it a real substantial texture look. This finishing is mostly used for decorative screen and furniture of Euro collection, which was designed and marketed by our parent company;- C.K.Ma Co., Ltd.

(PL) PLAIN LACQUER:
Substantial coats of shellac, catalyzed lacquer and antique varnish are put on top of wood surface making it such a rich lustre and durable for daily use and even heavy commercial use.

(CL) CRACKLE LACQUER
It is with same base coats of plain lacquer finish, but with random crackles in its final finish.

HAND WORK:
Furniture and decorative pieces are individually hand crafted, and hand decorated, either engraved or painted with exquisite art work by well trained craftsmen and artists. Each piece would go through some fifteen hand operations. The extra antique varnishing are done to simulate the aged look and the beauty of imperfection. No two pieces will be exactly alike, buyers should be aware of the nature of the product and tolerate variation of such nature.
It is a piece of functional furniture as well as works of art for one to appreciate for years to come.
